Students will select an organization within the sporting world that has recently been involved in a controversy. The student should conduct a comprehensive analysis on the structure, the personnel, the financials, recent decisions made, public perception, policies, and procedures of the organization. Research should be done on the organization’s governance structure and policies on the controversial issue. An analysis should be conducted to review if organization followed policy, and if the governance structure and policies provided a good outcome. If the outcome was good, discuss the components of governance, leadership, and policy that produced a good outcome. If the outcome was poor, discuss the weaknesses in the organizational governance structure, leadership, and policy that needs to be reviewed and strengthened.
