Please choose a MINOR LEAGUE sport team organization (MiLB, NBA G-League, AHL, etc.). Please give a brieft description of this league and why it exisits.
Please develop a Fifteen (15) question fan survey to be administered to spectators attending an event.
Discuss the elements of survey design including goals and objectives, phrasing, length, appearance, and generalizability of results. No more than Five (5) questions to be demographically related (age, gender, ethnicity, etc.)
Second assignment is 1 page:
1. Beyond the sources cited in this chapter, identify Three (3) syndicated data sources that could have value in helping sport organizations determine optimal sales and marketing strategies.
2. For each of the following scenarios, identifier which custom research approach would be of most value. First, specify a quantitative or qualitative approach, and then include any specifics (examples: Quantitative onsite surveying, Qualitative focus groups, etc.).
A minor league hockey team wants to find out how many game attendees feel about the app game experience.
A brand of baseball gloves and gear, looking to develop a new advertising campaign aimed at parents of Little League players, wants to understand what emotional ties kids and their parents have to equipment handed down.
A motor sports venue is considering offering various ticket packages that include multi day passes, varying food and beverage options, and merchandise offers. The venue needs consumer feedback to identify appropriate pricing and interest in the offers.
A professional sport league wants to gain an understanding of how avid and casual fans opinions of the league change when athletes run afoul of the law.
A major sports drink brand wants to know how its sponsorship of college football is driving purchase behavior among people ages 18 to 25 who are athletically active.
