ASSIGNMENT 2 DUE DATE: Sunday, July 18, 2021
In this assignment, students will team up to conduct an environmental scan of an organization, specific program, or similar entity using established strategic planning tools. The environmental scan analyzes all aspects of the organizational entity’s surroundings and conditions. The team will conduct a brainstorming session with stakeholders in order to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT); and then discuss the findings of the environmental scan/SWOT analysis.

Instructions:
As a leader, we need to be effective instilling a planning mindset in the culture of an organization. Identifying, promoting and managing strategy should be an intrinsic attitude of every member of the organization. This assignment asks you to establish the contextual framework for identifying a need and formulating a business case for change within your organization. This assignment requests designing a business case for change, which is the first stage formulating your strategic plan.

Should conduct a review of relevant literature about the chosen issue/problem. Discuss the nature of the issue/problem and give thorough examples of its significance, and the effects on the organization’s success/growth. Based on the reviewed literature, present feasible solutions. Should support your arguments with 8 – 10 current scholarly references.

No more than 3 or 4 people to a group. Groups can either stay the same, or if you choose you can pick new partners. New partners need to be communicated to Professor by Week #6 (Monday, June 14, 2021).

Your Group Paper should be between 10 – 12 pages in academic writing. This does not include your additional pages for Cover, References, and Appendices.
