Choose one of the following topics on which to write a two- to three-page essay. Please refer to the grading rubric for the essay requirements. Make sure to include at least three sentence-length direct quotes to support your points. You will need to use MLA format and provide a bibliography at the end of your essay. The following sources are the only ones acceptable:
o From class: class readings, journal articles, and books
o From outside of class:
▪ Journal articles from an academic journal (either online or a hard copy)
▪ Books of a scholarly nature
▪ No dictionaries, encyclopedias, web pages, newspapers, or magazine articles
75% of your references must be from class readings and lecture material.
There is a penalty of one letter grade for each day an essay is late.
