Scan the Wikipedia table for emerging technologies in your field. Do these surprise you (or are any missing?)? Factor in Kelly’s final chapter predicting changes to come. What is your take on what is on the horizon in your field … and has that changed in the past year due to the pandemic?
Kevin Kelly’s video suggested that the web of the future will be as different as today’s web is different from TV. The Corning videos suggest that future is just around the corner. Yet, several of the readings see a darker future as the impact of the pandemic plays out. As leaders, how do we adapt as technology changes? Do Kelly’s 12 verbs help? Did the Mary Meeker presentations align with your view of the changes to come?
