Discuss the implications or ramifications of discourse analysis when attempting to
better understand a culture other than one’s own. How can discourse analysis be
helpful in avoiding some of the shortcomings or pitfalls associated with cultural
anthropology studies of the past? Please cite specific examples taken from our class
