This is not an extremely formal paper to be turned in. I am looking for a brief lit review of the sources included for my personal use. The topic I am studying is the use of Community members as trained recruiters and/or facilitators for research. I am focusing on underserved communities with a high rate of mistrust for healthcare research (due to tuskegee experiment and other unethical research practices in history). I want to understand more if/when community members have been used as trusted representatives to recruit for medical research, what were the outcomes, was it successful, other recommendations for gaining trust in underserved communities.
