Discuss the influence of exogenous factors (epigenetics) on the course of infection and the bodies own response, specifically periodontal disease, is becoming increasingly realized that it has a significant role as a co-influencing factor the the oral disease process. Using multiple references from our autumn readings, discuss in detail the role epigenetic’s has in the progess of periodontal disease. This discussion should include references to and detailed reviews of the papers which discussed the multiple specific exogenous influential factors.
