This assignment includes how highly effective reading teachers use a variety of assessments to determine the literacy needs of their students. They then make instructional decisions based on the results of these assessments. (1) explain the assessment you will use discuss in great detail, (2) tell me what knowledge/mastery you are testing for, which component of reading it is, and if this component of reading is important, and (3) why this was a good measure to assess the skills on the students. Discuss the issues and trends that affect the curriculum in the classroom.
