Amazon is the largest ecommerce retailer. Recent attempts to unionize have failed. Based on your course knowledge evaluate and discuss in detail the following:
Provide brief background on Amazon’s benefits and working conditions. Discuss the issues which have led to the desire to unionize.
Discuss the process which was undertaken by employees to unionize as well as Amazon to prevent unionization. Were the practices of both parties ethical or unethical.
In your opinion, do employees today need unions. Discuss whether the recent union vote at Amazon is an indication of how todays’ labor force views the necessity of unions.
