Discuss the prevalence of the population within the larger criminal justice system.

This paper will allow the student to further investigate and learn in greater depth about a special population within the criminal justice system. This may be a population that has been covered in this course or it may be a one that has not been covered. Appropriate citational evidence should be utilized through-out the paper (5 to 10 sources are minimally sufficient). Due 4/18/22 by 11:59 pm EST. 10 to 12 pages max.
Introduction
Identify the special population on which you are focusing.
Discuss the prevalence of the population within the larger criminal justice system.
Identify and discuss any trends associated with this population (for example, rapid growth).
Make sure to include in your discussion clear rationale for why this is an important population within the criminal justice system.
Risk and Protective Factors
Identify and briefly discuss risk and protective factors across multiple system levels (i.e., person and environment).
Social Justice
Critically discuss the influence of individual and systematic biases that affect this population.
Screening, Assessment, and Intervention
Based on the risk and protective factors that have been identified, describe and discuss appropriate screening and/or assessment protocols for this populations.
Identify and discuss at least one evidence-based intervention strategy.
Note, the intervention should address an identified risk.
Conclusion
Summarize your overall findings.
What are the implication for social work practice with justice involved populations?
Include a discussion of potential barriers to the implementation of strategies related to your findings.
