The guidelines for this project are fairly open. I want you to pick a topic that relates to domestic violence and is of interest to you, then researh the topic. Topics should be narrow enough for you to conduct thorough research. Below are the things I will be grading on:
Graded Components (Paper or Presentation)
Clearly identify the topic and explain what the project is intending to examine.
I should be able to know what the project is about and what you are intending to demonstrate with your project.
Provide an overview/background on the topic.
Students should give a thorough overview and background of the topic. If I am unfamiliar with the topic, did the student give me enough information to understand the topic and presentation?
Demonstrate what the research says about this topic.
What did the research show about the topic? Is the research clear or are do the results show mixed findings? What still needs to be looked at?
Provide your personal commentary on the topic.
What are your personal thoughts on the topic? What was your reaction to the research (i.e., were you surprised/disappointed, etc.)? Where do we go from here? Do you have unanswered questions?
Use at least five peer-reviewed academic sources (you can use other legitimate sources as well (agency websites, news stories, videos, etc.)
