You are to research an accepted curriculum development/evaluation model.
1) Discuss, in detail, the major fundamental characteristics of the curriculum model chosen.
2) Discuss the underlying assumptions that this model uses.
3) Develop the stages of the model by discussing the different events that occur during the stages. Please give plenty of detail in this realm.
4) Talk about accepted critiques of this model along with what proponents of this model say
are its positive attributes.
5) Give your personal feelings/thoughts on the model. Talk about what you see as its’ biggest
assets/weaknesses. This is the only place in the paper where the use of “I” is appropriate.
The focus of this assignment is to allow you to speak coherently about a curriculum development model. We will go over many different models in class, but this will give you the opportunity to develop, in great depth and detail, your understanding of one specific model. As a curricular leader, this is a must. Please do not feel that you have to answer the preceding questions in order. As long as you address each of these topics, the order/flow is up to you. In addition, feel free to add other information that you feel is pertinent.
