Discuss whether you would Use a Teletransporter?

In his article, Personal Identity, Derek Parfit imagines a so-called Teletransporter machine. He writes:
I enter the Teletransporter. I have been to Mars before, but only by the old method, a spaceship journey taking several weeks. This machine will send me at the speed of light. I merely have to press the green button. Like others, I am nervous. Will it work? I remind myself what I have been told to expect. When I press the button, I shall lose consciousness, and then wake up at what seems a moment later. In fact I shall have been unconscious for about an hour. The Scanner here on Earth will destroy my brain and body, while recording the exact states of all my cells. It will then transmit this information by radio. Traveling at the speed of light, the message will take three minutes to reach the Replicator on Mars. This will then create, out of new matter, a brain and body exactly like mine. It will be in this body that I shall wake up (520).
The Teletransporter machine sounds promising. It can supposedly get one to Mars in a matter of minutes, as opposed to a spaceship journey, which would take several weeks. Let’s further imagine that a spaceship journey would be significantly more expensive. Supposing that you really did want to go to Mars, would you choose to use the Teletransporter if offered the opportunity, or would you insist on the spaceship?
For the purposes of this question, you can suppose that there is no risk of the Teletransporter malfunctioning. That is, suppose that the Scanner will vaporize your brain and body after recording the exact state of all your cells, and it will send that information to the Replicator on Mars, which will then create an exact replica of your body and brain from new matter.
