For this assignment, you will complete a project based on communication and cultural diversity. The goal of this project is for you to focus on one population, which can be chosen from your textbook or another peer reviewed resource. With your chosen population you will provide the following: background, traditional definitions of health and illness, traditional remedies, specific health and healthcare problems, and cultural and communication problems. You will then need to focus on one of this population’s health care problems and develop a complete health communication plan based on your readings throughout this semester. Please make sure you incorporate all of the required steps in a health communication plan. Discuss which health communication theory which would be best suited for your plan.
This assignment is a project that will be implemented as a professional paper in APA format. No abstract is required. You must use a minimum of five current (less than 5 years old) references (one can be your textbook) for this paper. The paper must be a minimum of six full pages of text, not including the required title and reference pages. This project is worth 200 points or 20% of your overall grade for this course.
