In previous weeks, we have discussed the need for sprinkler systems in high-rise structures. This week we are going to look at the need for residential sprinkler systems. By residential, I mean single family homes. This has been a hot topic over the last several years and one we are going to look at a little closer this week.
After reading this week’s FEMA article regarding Residential Fire Sprinkler Systems, please write a post that answers the following:
1. Research any form of residential sprinkler legislation you can find and briefly discuss what you found in your research.
2. Discuss the advantages and/or disadvantages of residential sprinkler systems.
3. Discuss your opinion of residential sprinkler systems.
