1.1) In what sense, if any, can a person who suffers from nearly total amnesia (like Wearing) be considered to be the same individual person as they were before their amnesia?

1.2) In what sense, if any, might a person suffering from this form of amnesia be considered to be a different individual than they were before?

2) Clive Wearing can retain information about his current experience for no longer than 30 seconds. He continually suffers from the feeling that he is only at this current moment recovering consciousness. In his current state, can Clive Wearing be considered as conscious at all? Why or why not?
