Discussion: Literature Review Progress and Challenges

In this discussion, you will discuss your progress and the challenges you have encountered while developing your literature review.

You have now set the foundation for your literature review and have begun to synthesize the research you compiled for your annotated bibliography. This discussion provides you the opportunity to discuss the progress you have made so far and challenges you have encountered.

First, review the required resources for this week to support your work in this discussion. Then, in your initial discussion post, address the following:

Briefly describe the achievement gap you have selected for your curriculum proposal, and discuss its importance. Identify the progress you have made. Specifically, discuss two to three key research findings you have discovered about the achievement gap and how these findings will help to inform your proposal.
What are some search strategies you applied to locate relevant research on your achievement gap? Have these strategies been successful or effective? Explain.
What challenges have you faced during the search process or in developing and synthesizing literature for your literature review?
In response to your peers, comment on their posts. How do their responses compare to or differ from your own? Offer suggestions to address any challenges your peers faced during the research process.
