In your post, first introduce a recent current event which exemplifies processes of racialization in American culture and society. You may provide evidence about the current event from any one of the Module 8 learning materials (or from any other Modules), or you may locate a reliable news article to ground your post.
Next, analyze the event from an anthropological perspective. In a few sentences, describe at least one implicit and one explicit element of racialization present in the event. Talk about how that event can be understood as a performance or an experience or even as a consequence of racialization. Make sure to incorporate M8 terms and concepts in your analysis.
Important: the example must be specific, and the source must be cited in-text and at the end of your post. This is important so your group members can read the story themselves. If you use a news article, try to avoid op-ed (opinion) pieces unless you are certain the evidence is fact-checked.
