Dr. Dobson writes: “The proper ‘programming’
of the conscience is one of the most difficult jobs associated with parenthood,
and one that requires the greatest wisdom.” Compare what Dr. Dobson says with
Proverbs 22:6, Deuteronomy 6:4–9 and Ephesians 6:4. Then list as many,
“responsibilities for me as a parent” as you can think of. How should “I as a
parent” best carry out these responsibilities when it comes to teaching my teen
about building a sexual conscience? Use the first 3 chapters of Preparing for Adolescence for discussion topics and the Scriptures mentioned for how to
discuss them.
