There is a pathology section in each chapter feel free to choose one from those listed in your text. You may have an interest in an illness or disease process you yourself or a family member has dealt with in the past. This would be a good time to learn a little more about that one if you so choose. You may NOT choose heart attack !
Please write a three paragraph page about this disease process.
25 points: What is it? Are there any risk factors or known causes?
25 points: What are the symptoms? What are potential complications or long term impact with someone who has this disease?
25 points: How is this disease/ condition, illness treated?
If you need more than three paragraphs to write this information, feel free; however, these three paragraphs with the above information included is all that is required to earn the maximum number of points.
Make sure that you site your sources in APA or MLA format. Please look at a minimum of two sources for this assignment. ( 10 points) These points include proper grammar, spelling in your paper as well.
For the remaining 15 points, I would like for you to write one paragraph that identifies what your long term goals are educationally and professionally. In just a few sentences, what do you see yourself doing in five years ? And in ten years ?
Obviously there is no right or wrong for this last paragraph, and by putting these things on paper, you will receive the 15 points for that component. I think it is helpful as students are in their education years, to continually be looking down the road to be reminded why they are doing what you are doing now in pursuing your education and various degrees.
