Does the current behavior of the United States (in response to China’s rise) mirror Mearsheimer’s prediction in his offensive realist theory of Great Power Politics

I need a 10 page (single spaced) paper which assesses Mearsheimer’s theory of Great Power Politics. This paper requires significant empirical evidence which supports the position that the United States IS behaving in line with Mearsheimer’s theory. Paper needs a roadmap which lays out why the direction of the research, why certain aspects of Mearsheimer’s theory are focused on or ignored, and significant empirical evidence supporting the direction of the paper. about a page or two should be dedicated to summarizing Mearsheimer’s theory, about six to seven pages should be emperical evidence supporting his theory, with the remainder being the summary. (covering the importance of nuclear weapons in this competition is highly desired).
