B. Podcast Assignments
Each week you will choose 1 podcast episode from the list below (for a total of 4). You should pick based on your interests. You should look through this list and do some googling and read online about the different podcasts and episodes I have listed here. They are all very interesting, smart analyses of various social problems, issues and/or phenomena. For each Podcast Assignment (4) you will write a short response paper. These are the instructions for each:
At the top of your paper write the title of the podcast and episode you listened to, then write a one-paragraph summary of the content of the episode. Then answer some combination of the following questions in 2 or more double-spaced pages:
What does this episode teach us about society?
What information is presented?
How was the information gathered?
What is the perspective of the hosts or story-tellers?
In what ways is the episode a commentary on society?
Does the narrative have some historical and/or cultural significance?
