Does the author’s point resemble a situation you’ve encountered in your own life?

Paper must be written on any single aspect of a
readings assigned. The paper is to include a short (not greater
than one paragraph) summary of the key point the paper will be treating,
followed by the student’s critical
response to the that point (do you
agree/disagree, and why? Does the
author’s point resemble a situation
you’ve encountered in your own life? What
is an alternate way you would have preferred to make a similar
point?—these are
just a few of the directions a paper may take).

Rather than being addressed in response to a
specific prompt or question, you should select a point or
concept from any of
the readings assigned to that point that in particularly speaks to you. After a brief (1-2
paragraph) introduction,
the balance of the paper should be dedicated to your own original critical
analysis.
This may take the form of
explaining, in detail, any points of (dis)agreement with that particular point,
connections to other readings, or to aspects of your own life.
