Each of you is in college so that you can pursue a career. In this discussion, identify a career goal (what do you want to be when you graduate). Be SPECIFIC about your career (i.e. don’t say “engineer,” say what kind of engineer. Don’t say “nurse,” say what kind of nurse.)

Write your research proposal in one paragraph. Then, include your hypothesis (what you think you will find out when you have completed this essay) AND a bulleted list of your research questions for step 3.
Directions:
Step 1: Each of you is in college so that you can pursue a career. In this discussion, identify a career goal (what do you want to be when you graduate). Be SPECIFIC about your career (i.e. don’t say “engineer,” say what kind of engineer. Don’t say “nurse,” say what kind of nurse.)
Step 2: Now, this is your opportunity to research that career. Think about what you need to do to get there–not just taking the classes, but what else do you need to do? Are their certifications? What will make you a successful candidate? What is the job outlook? How much money will you make, etc.
Step 3: Finally, list 5-8 research questions about your future career choice and what you think you will find (your hypothesis).
Also, when you write this essay, PLEASE USE FIRST PERSON!! I want you to talk about YOUR career choices and YOUR ideas–not write as some bland person about some bland topic, OK??
OK! Now, get writing!!
