Electoral College

The topis is Electoral College. The paper is to be a minimum of 1500 words and multiple paragraphs including an introduction and conclusion. It is imperative that if you use an idea or quote from a source in the body of your paper that you either footnote it or put the source and page number in parenthesis after the statement. It must be double spaced. Complete well-structured sentences. Do not use: I, we, you etc. (except in the final paragraph). Cite at least 3 sources. A separate page for works cited is expected. References on the works cited page need to be scholarly in nature. This should be a comprehensive paper about the origins, history, problems, constitutional history, mechanics of, arguments for and against, and your opinion on whether the U.S should continue using it or abolish it. 1. What is the electoral college; 2. Why did the founders of the U.S opt for this method; 3. How does the electoral college work? 4. Arguments for continuing to use it AND arguments for abolishing it; 5. Arguments for changing or eliminiating the electoral college; 6. What alternatives have been suggested; 7. Examples of elections where popular vote and electoral college results differed. 8. Conclusion- Your opinion on whether or not the U.S should continue using the electoral college or not and your reasons. 9. And of course, anything else you feel should be included. Save as a PDF.
