The bad qualities will be examined through the eyes of a dialectical approach by Marx,
– Capitalism creates large sums of inequality, oppression, and injustice which can lead to sudden ruptures and transformations (crises and industrial revolutions).
– A dialectical inquiry into oppression of capitalism reveals how systems of oppression are connected to the antagonistic and opposed interests of competing social forces. These are both inherently built up and resisted in a contest between those who try to impose oppression (capitalists) and those who challenge it (workers).
– Marx’s idea of Capitalism being based on theft.
– Doesn’t benefit the majority or the working people (SNALT) Social necessary amount of Labor time.
– The wealth that is created doesn’t go to the wealth creator V(L) > V(LP) = M1 >M. How much value the worker creates (V(L)) greater then value of labor power (V(LP)) leads to surplus value (profit).
The good qualities of Capitalism will be examined through other primary sources and economists (jstor, google scholar),
– productive dynamic
– faster in its means of production
– destroys old hierarchy’s
– Has led the US to the dominate economic system in the world
– Incentivizes competition which ups working efficiency and limits inefficient labor
– Leads to innovation and technological advancements
– One of the biggest reasons I will be discussing it that it provides freedom
– Promotes self-regulation.
– All of these points will be addressed and discussed with supportive sources.
