1. Describe what toxicology is and give an example of a physical and chemical hazard.
2. What is a cultural hazard? Give an example of one and describe how you might reduce it.
3. Search Google for an article about foodborne illness. It can be a case from anywhere in the world. Describe what it is… how many people were impacted? How did it happen? What could be done in the future to prevent foodborne illness? This comes from your previous reading and this week’s reading (hint).
4. Describe an example of what environmental health hazards can do to humans. You can choose teratogens (birth defect agents), mutagens, allergens, etc. Please search Google for an example article (you will read/research, view a picture of the result/human impact). Provide a link to what you find and describe it in your own words. What would you do to reduce the risk from your toxic substance? Cite your sources.
