Epidemiology and You: Photovoice
One of the objectives for this course is to understand how epidemiology is used in day-to-day life.
Explore your workplace or your personal community/home. Take a picture of how you see epidemiology in action in either of those communities and write a 100-150 word narrative discussing some of the concepts from your readings and learning materials – descriptive epidemiology, outbreak investigation, incidence rates, prevalence, mortality rates, surveillance. Examples of pictures can be a person doing something, a graph you saw at a presentation, something you saw online, a hospital infection preventionist, a news article you read, or a newscast you saw.
