It should be about 1200 – 1500 words and please keep in mind that you WILL NOT be using any outside sources– use direct references/quotes to the short stories to support your thesis only. You MUST write on TWO different short stories in your essay.
Please write a clear and cogent essay on ONE of the following topics:
1. Discuss the theme of isolation in any two short stories we have studied in this course.
2. Without plot repetition, discuss how any two characters have changed at the end of the story from when we first meet them at the beginning.
3. Discuss two different points of view in any two stories we have studied this semester and how the point of view affects the story overall. For this question you must choose one story we have studied that uses first person point of view, and another story that uses third person point of view.
4. Discuss how two characters (each from a different short story we have studied) either rebels OR conforms against social norms.
