To complete the Unit 8 Assignment, you will be assigned a classmate who will act as a peer review partner. To complete the Assignment, exchange your full Unit 9 Assignment draft with your partner via email. Please send your paper no later than Friday of Unit 8 (earlier if possible) so both of you have time to complete the review and answer all Assignment questions with details, explanations, and examples. To complete the peer review, use the strategies in the unit Reading about offering constructive feedback. Keep in mind while you may not agree with the point of view expressed in the paper, it is important that you remain objective and supportive in reviewing it. Try to keep personal comments out of the feedback and instead offer constructive suggestions for making changes to improve the writing, organization, content, editing, and so forth.
In order to provide constructive feedback, there are two elements to this Assignment: (1) Read your partner’s paper and respond to the following questions, and (2) proofread your partner’s paper and provide comments and suggestions using “track changes” or the “add comment” feature in Word. When complete, submit both the Word document with your answers to the Assignment questions and the marked-up student paper to the Dropbox as your Unit 8 Assignment. Also, email a copy of both the completed questions document and the marked up paper to your partner.
The Unit 8 Assignment should include: (1) a Word document of approximately two pages answering in detail all the questions in the Unit 8 Peer Review Template, and (2) your partner’s paper with your feedback comments imbedded. Please answer all the questions with specific details, explanations, and examples.
