Capstone Project Paper Format
1. Title Page – precise outline focusing on your Capstone Project. Be sure to follow APA Title Page format.
2. Table of Contents – listing of all relevant sections, chapters, tables, figures, references, and other major divisions within your manuscript indicating both order and page number location. Be sure to follow APA Table of Contents format.
3. Abstract – the abstract is written to summarize the main points, concepts, and conclusions of your paper. The Abstract is should be one page in length.
4. Introduction of topic- You should discuss the introduction to your topic, including the significance of the problem to your organization
5. Review of Literature –. In this section discuss the significance of your selected topic and how it relates to your organization. This section will require several pages to properly cover the relevant background in the literature. Be sure to follow APA format.
6. Topic Objectives and Analysis – this section is the “bulk” of your paper. In this section you discuss the specifics of your Capstone Topic and associated Organization. If you are suggesting a change or different approach to care, it should be discussed in this section. This will require several APA Subtitle Levels to properly present your information, as outlined below:
Level 1-Subheading
Centered, Bold, Uppercase and Lowercase
Level 2-Subheading, Flush Left, Bold, Uppercase and Lowercase
Level 3-Subheading, indented, bold, lowercase paragraph heading
ending with a period. Text continues on the same line, but is not indented on the next line.
Level 4-Subheading, bold, indented, italicized, lowercase paragraph heading ending with a period. Text continues on the same line, but is not indented on the next line.
You will also use the above APA Subtitle Levels format for your Review of Literature and Conclusions sections.
7. Conclusions – this section is at the end of your required 25 pages for your Capstone Project paper. In this section summarize your research findings and conclusions. You should, in addition, provide your own supported beliefs and opinions, based on your previous foundation sections: 4) Review of Literature and 5) Topic Objectives and Analysis. Be sure to follow APA format.
8. Appendices – all charts, graphs, tables, photos, and illustrates not embedded within your previous sections, e.g. Review of Literature, Topic Objectives and Analysis, and Conclusions, should go in an appendix. Your appendices are the last section of your Capstone Project paper.
9. References – a references list catalogs all sources (minimum of 20) you researched and cited in the body of your paper, based on the development of your Capstone Project paper. Your References list must be in APA (6th edition) format. This sections should follow any of your appendices.
