Assume you are in a leadership role at an agency of your choosing. You will write a brief draft proposal for a new procedure (or an update for a current procedure) based on ethical leadership (Attached).
Finished proposal should be 5-7 pages (12-point Times New Roman font, and double-spaced) and use headings and subheadings.
The proposal should include the following sections:
Completed Introduction
Agency and leadership role
Brief description of the qualities an ethical leader in selected role should embody and why
Purpose and goal of document, including why you, as leader, think its important to initiate change. Use an ethical theory or model to justify the change while considering human rights, integrity, and accountability.
Current Situation
Statement of current procedure, if any in place; indicate if none
Description of when to be used, who to use it, and so forth
Identification of issues (current consequences that need to be improved; include statistical data)
Transformative Opportunity (why change?)
Analysis of how current situation and any relevant procedures may (or may not) be ethical, but fall short of identified moral standards for justice
Explanation of costs, potential for lawsuits, and potential for harm
Goals and Objects (of the change)
New Procedure Description
Who will be affected
Ethical reasoning, including social justice rationale where relevant, and evidence-based research (cite at least three references)
Outcome measurement and adjustment (tweaking) process
A diagram of the procedural process (if helpful to reader)
