From studying the European region, you may recall that one of its subregions is the Nordic countries. These countries are not generally considered part of the core of the European region, but they are still some of the wealthiest countries in the world that consistently rank in the lists of the countries that are freest and have the highest quality of life. Do some research on the subregion and develop a hypothesis for why these regions are so wealthy and considered desirable places to live. Also, address why they are not considered a part of the “core” of Europe. Write 300 – 500 words outlining your findings and conclusions.
