Introduction

Disorders and their treatments are a fundamental in psychology. Diagnosis of disorders and treating them is better left to the professionals, at this point, but this assignment can focus your path within mental health and begin to give you an idea of the differing views. This paper is designed to better acquaint you with psychological disorders and treatments.

Task

For the last paper, you have 2 tasks. Chapter 4 gives an overview of the major disorders in mental health today and chapter 6 gives an overview of the major approaches to treatment. Students will analyze the major disorders and the approaches to treatment, with reputable psychological sources.

Process

Analyze the common psychopathological disorders in chapter 4. Within the text of the paper, you should have:

– In-depth analysis of 4 of the 5 listed in chapter 4

– Compare and contrast these disorders

And

Compare and contrast the major approaches to treatment in chapter 6. Within the text of the paper, you should have:

– In-depth analysis of 4 of the 6 listed in chapter 6 and in Dual Diagnosis II

– An examination of the main therapeutic goals of each treatment

– The examination of the therapeutic techniques used within each treatment

– End the paper argue, which treatment is best. Why?

Evaluation

The paper you chose must be typed, double-spaced, and at least 4 pages in length. You should check for spelling and grammatical errors. The sentences should coherently flow and be written in competent prose (Your own words/voice). Direct quotes must cite the source. This paper must also include a list of references at the end of it, which includes all of your sources. This must be in APA format, which means including author(s) date of publication, title of article, book or chapter, and online cites.
