For Excel 4
There will be four Excel assignments that will give students the opportunity to apply the techniques we are learning in class, gain context on how these tools are applied, and also learn common Excel tools that are used in financial modelling. Here are the files you will use to complete the assignment.
For Project
In this assignment, students will use a game tree framework to estimate the value of different options Purinex can pursue to raise needed financing. This allows students to see another common application for game trees on top of the real options valuations that we covered in the lectures. Please ignore any references to a different project mentioned in the walkthrough for Excel 4.
There is no preference regarding citation format or the listing of references.
You are required to use 11 pt. font, one inch margins and 1.5 spacing.
For this exam, you will only have one page to report your recommendation on which alternative to take, and give an explanation for why you feel it is the best alternative. Like the other projects, you may attach tables or exhibits at the end of the report that show your work without any page limits. But make sure your report is well written and professional in appearance. Your calculations need to be clear in estimating the expected payoff of each option.
