Description
Your final project “big” paper is due this weekend. As you continue your work on the project… there are a few key items you need to remember to ensure you are meeting all of the expectations of the assignment:
Make sure you review all of your prior work in the course. This includes you discussion posts, long assignments and short papers. As I shared at our pre conference and mid conference… there are several sections of the final paper that you will include in the final paper.
Your final paper SHOULD NOT be just a straight up cut and paste job. You will need to review you past assignments, refine your statements as a result of new knowledge you have obtained and make adjustments for the final paper.
Make sure your final paper reads and flows well and is coherent. Have someone proof-read your paper.
Use/Include headings in the final paper. There are 12 sections that you need to include in the final paper. Make sure they are all there and discussed in depth. The sections are listed in the Weekly To-Do’s.
Include in-text citations in the body of the paper to support your assertions and strengthen your argument statements.
Make sure your references are from the past 5 years to ensure relevance and timeliness.
Make sure you have an equal balance of references form scholarly, peer reviewed journals and not just all from websites.
Make sure you follow APA formatting guidelines. You can find help with APA in the link below
https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_formatting_and_style_guide/in_text_citations_the_basics.html
Make sure your reference list is correctly formatted. Many students cut and paste references and do not take the time to ensure that the formatting are uniform throughout.
Finally – remember what I said at the preconference and midconference meeting. Your project should be very clear form beginning to end … that anyone can pick up your paper, read it and be able to implement the same project in their organization.
