Choose a setting in which you learned something new recently. This must be an informal, non-formal or community education setting. It can be in an informal/casual classroom or setting such as religious education, community education or a learning a new hobby such as knitting.
Describe: Where were you? Who was there? What were you doing? Were there other people there? What were the other people doing? Why were you there? Describe the setting.
Examine: What new idea, skill or knowledge did you learn? Was your learning intentional or accidental? How difficult was it for your learning to take place? What actions by yourself and others helped you to learn?
Articulate Learning: How can the setting and actions of other people help you define your role as an informal educator? How can your thoughts, feelings and actions as a student help you in your role as an informal educator?
