Question 2:
Glorifying God
Honesty
Integrity
Excellent Customer Service
Humble
Encouraging
Commitment
Exceed Expectations
Innovative
Uniqueness
First and foremost, regardless of whether it is in business or not, our responsibility as Christians is to glorify God in anything and everything that we do. As Matthew 5:16 says, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” For some, we may be the only form of the gospel that someone may hear, so, it is that much more important that our actions reflect God’s glory. As a Christian global business manager, one should be honest, have integrity, provide excellent customer service, and be humble and encouraging. Those things are important in maintaining a good working relationship with your customers and to retain future business. No one wants to do business with someone they cannot trust. As Christians, we are often scrutinized for claiming to be Christians and then our actions not reflecting and giving glory to God. By doing so, it turns many people away when we should be the bridge to bringing people closer to God. We need to do our best and be above reproach and it is very important that we do so in business in order to be profitable as well. Other important traits for a Christian global business manager is their commitment to the organization and that they exceed expectations. Through their actions, they should continually reflect the business’ organizational values along with their own. Lastly, two remaining important attributes would be their uniqueness and innovativeness. In order to be successful in business it is important to bring some innovation and uniqueness to the table. Times and trends are rapidly changing. No one wants to do business with outdated business practices. The above-mentioned list will help to ensure success as a Christian within a business environment.
