Write a 2-3 page paper (10-12 pt font, 1.5 spacing) on how the following four major events affected the
stock market and the economy: stock market crash of October 1929, stock market crash of October
1987, stock market crash of September 2008, and the Coronavirus. For the first three (1929, 1987, and
2008), you should explain why the market crashed and what helped it recover. In regard to the
Coronavirus, you should explain how the virus initially affected the economy, what the government has
done to try to improve the economy, and current economic struggles due to the pandemic. The total
length of this paper (not including references) should be approximately 2-3 pages.
