Explain how membranes contribute to the organization of cells both through structure and function . Include some comparisons and contrasts between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.
Subtopics may include but are not limited to: the compartmentalization of the cell into organelles, transport across membranes, transport through the cell by vesicles, ATP production by membrane-bound electron transport in respiration and photosynthesis, protein transport and sorting, endocytosis, exocytosis, or connections to cytoskeleton.
Select at least three subtopics on the basis of a clear thesis statement made in the introductory paragraph.
There should be a minimum of 10 references, all from scholarly resources with DOI included.
