LITERATURE REVIEW
A referenced preliminary literature review, which provides clear justification and rationale for
the proposed study. You should include discussion of how the research will contribute to
nursing knowledge and practice.
Summarise critically the research or evaluations done in this area to date and demonstrate
where there is a ‘gap’ in current knowledge, hence the need for the systematic review/
evidence synthesis you are proposing.
