You may NOT copy pictures or videos from the internet. Photos must be taken in a variety of locations within the city of your choice. Do not take photos while you are operating a moving vehicle or in any other unsafe conditions.
The Field Data: should include a descriptive title, the location of the photo, and the date the photo was taken. If the meaning of each term is not inferred based on the context of your analysis, then you need to include a definition for one or both terms. The key terms should be highlighted or underlined. Remember to explain how the built environment is affecting the natural sphere you are discussing.
The Map will include where you took each picture. This can be an interactive map or a static map. See example on Helpful Hints page. The Reflection section will include one to two pages reflecting on your experience with the photo essay project. Things to consider: Did it help you to better understand the concepts covered in class? What would you do differently if you completed this project again? Will you now look at your environment differently? Specifically, do you notice interactions between the built and natural environment more now than you did prior to taking the class? Did you appreciate getting to choose the format of your project? Why or Why not? Was the format you selected an effective way to present your findings? If yes, why? If not, what would be a better method? Are there other formats not listed that you would recommend?
