15% Paper 1:
– Students will write an analysis of one of the primary documents listed
below. Your paper will include s brief summary of the text along with the following information.
– What do you think the purpose of the document was? Who do you think the document in question was written for?
– Did the document achieve its primary goal?
– How does the document fit into the larger scope of American history, and what impact do you think it had on the course of history?
– Finally, did the document alter your perception of history in any way?

All quotations from the source will need to have a parenthetical citation to give the author proper credit. The due date for the assignment will be listed in the course schedule.
