Explain how the industrial revolution as a ecological revolution contributed to the current ecological crisis?
Thesis: Humans can be wasteful and tend to only focus on the now which has been a contributing factor to pollution but the industrial revolution is the prime reason for the plethora of pollution plaguing the world today. (may need work)
The research problem statement should contain the following:
A statement of the problem in the form of a research question or questions to investigate (e.g., How did the capitalist ecological revolution affect the relationship of women to the land in East Africa? What are the causes of the bleaching of the coral reefs? What have been the effects of logging on the salmon populations of the Pacific Northwest? How has the growth of sushi restaurants affected the populations of blue fin tuna? Has the development of export-oriented monoculture worsened or alleviated the problems of hunger in sub-Saharan Africa?)
A brief answer to the question posed phrased as a thesis statement. Early in your research, this was your best guess at an answer, but you should have continued revising this statement so that it reflects the findings of your final research. Such an answer (your thesis) will help guide your research and writing efficiently because it is what you want to prove or disprove and it will keep you from becoming sidetracked.
A description of the organizational plan for the project. Develop a plan for how the paper would be organized were you to write it . What introductory or background information is essential for you to fully answer your question? What have other scholars said on the subject? If you can divide this scholarship into different schools of thought, will you devote different sections to each school?
This bibliography provides a review of the available scholarly work on the research question you have chosen. Your sources should include articles, books, and websites which deal with some aspect of your topic. Each annotation must:
describe the content and main argument of the source
describe its usefulness for different sections of your paper
discuss any limitations the source may have (bias, coverage, etc.)
describe the audience for which the item was intended
evaluate the research methods used
evaluate the reliability of the item
discuss any conclusions the authors make
situate that source within the whole of the other sources you have located (in other words how are the authors talking to one another).
