Students are required to write a 3-4 page analytical final paper based on a prompt that considers themes from the course broadly. In addition to the 3-4 pages for the paper, you must add a title page and works cited page. Papers must have page numbers, be double-spaced, with 12-point times roman font and 1” margins.
PROMPT: Using at least 3 texts from the course readings, pick two units from units 2-5 and explain how their Black Freedom Movements have been historically, thematically, and politically similar and different. Please be sure to focus on no more than a couple of similarities and differences. You want to be sure that you are thoroughly investigating an idea and that you are making a definitive statement/ claim after closely considering everything you’ve read and discussed in the two units you have chosen. Lastly, be sure to use the terminology for our first unit, Coming to Terms as you discuss the similarities and differences of the Black Freedom Movements discussed in the two units you have chosen.
