Reflection paper # 2
In this second section of the semester we examined with Propper (2008) how genetic polymorphisms and maternal sensitivity interact over the first year of life to condition the ability to recruit RSA withdrawal when challenged. We moved on to explore a cascade model proposed by Kochanska (2012) in which attachment and assertive forms of parental discipline affect the association b/w child temperament and child antisocial outcomes.
For the purpose of this 2ndreflection paper, I would like you (1) to select either Propper or Kochanska and introduce your reader to this authors’ primary question, (2) explain how they formulated their questions, using theories from the course, (3) provide a concise summary of the main findings, and (4) describe their contribution to our knowledge of developmental processes.
