Explain how to examined some of the challenges facing U.S. schools and the possibilities that lie ahead for the progressive teacher. As we complete this course, it is my hope that you have a clearer vision for how to make an impact with your pedagogy and content knowledge.
In 5-7 pages, using 12-point font, double-spaced, in Microsoft Word, describe and justify instructional or pedagogical strategies you might deploy to:
• persuade students your subject matter is relevant to their everyday lives and their particular contexts (whatever those contexts may be—you choose).
• create an inclusive classroom that promotes dignity, engagement, and positively affirms differences.
• be a living example yourself of the value of your content area, as shown in some aspect(s) of your own life or work.
For those of you in dual content areas, choose any one or combination that makes sense for you.
