Explain how we can minimize the damage done by fracking?

1- Introduce your central topic or issue of concern (for example, “How declining biodiversity threatens human well-being” or “Current methods of global food production are not sustainable” or “Ecological consequences of continuing or expanding the use of fossil fuels”… you get the idea. Because of the relatively short length of your paper, you will need to have a fairly narrowly focused topic. A topic such as “Global Climate Change” is far too broad; “Economic consequences of a Warming Planet” has a better focus. Most of your Introduction should be devoted to describing the issue or what the environmental concern is. End your Introduction paragraph with a general statement that you intend to support or develop in the rest of your paper. After the Introduction the reader should be clearly aware of the purpose of your paper and where your ideas are going.
2- The next section of your paper, maybe a paragraph or two in length, should address: What are opposing views to your concern or viewpoint? Or, why does this problem or issue persist? For example, if your paper addresses environmental and human health concerns related to hydrofracking, this section of your paper may bring up local economic reasons for some corporations or communities supporting and expanding hydrofracking practices. The purpose of this section is to acknowledge that the issue may not be straightforward, and for a number of reasons some others may disagree with you.
3- The following paragraphs you’ll write will be the main body of your paper. Likely this will be several paragraphs. Get into the strong evidence that you have which supports the argument you presented in your introduction. Think of addressing the following types of questions when writing the main body of your paper:
Why does your assertion have merit?
What are the supportive facts you have?
How convincing are you that your concerns are valid?
How could you convince someone you have an environmental issue that needs to be addressed?
Why should anyone care?
4- Wrap up your paper with a brief conclusion paragraph, restating your main and most convincing points.
5- Include as a final page a list of References.
This paper should be approximately 1,500-2000 words (at 500 words per page single-spaced, that’s around 3-4 pages), 12 point Times New Roman font. You will likely need 3-4 references to support facts or claims you present. Please do not use your textbook, blogs or Wikipedia as references. The Reference page does not count toward total page count.
