Pick some classes you are interested in. here’s what I think your “research” angle should be: How Balkan conceptions of nationality influence media representations of conflicts.
-in the Balkans, nationality is colloquially determined by blood instead of birthplace (a good example is Albanians claiming Mother Teresa even though she was born in Macedonia and/or the question of albanianness in the kosovo conflict). How did the Balkan conception of nationality influence media coverage of the Kosovo conflict in the 90s?
